The Musical
Unemployed Joe from London is stuck in debt, but he has an ingenious plan: he "sells" the London Ritz. Disguised as an estate agent, Joe offers the luxury hotel for a commission of one million pounds.
Based on a true story from 2010, TEA AT THREE juxtaposes the curious petty fraud with the still red-hot housing crisis that left thousands homeless in the US and UK. A musical spectrum from classical operetta to pop/rock tonally represents the clashing social classes: From the money-grubbing real estate boss to the worker from the London suburbs.
